So my original intent was to post the Seattle trip day by day, however the weekend got in the way with a party in the D for the Dream Cruise, and pure laziness on Sunday. I know, me, procrastinating and lazy? Never!!! Right.... So here is the smorgasbord of the pics day by day.

Seattle Day Two
Pretty much day two can be summed up as ferry rides, a tour of downtown, quick stop at Pike's Place which was closing for the day and running through the rain to catch a bus home. Followed by a nite out on the town, full of bars, drinks, and drunk dials. It was an excellent time.

Seattle Day Three
Day three we explored Snoqualmie Falls and I bought lots of pancake mix. Long story short, back in the day when my family traveled out there, my dad fell in love with the pancake mix, so I bought a few bags which made packing my suitcase to go home quite difficult. We also ventured into the big Asian market- Uwajimaya, and each bought a variety of candy to try out. My favorite buy, a "Crunky" bar, a bad translation of a "crunch" bar. But still worthy of a giggle.

Seattle day four...
Day four was a girly day of shopping downtown, we started in Pioneer Square, headed to the waterfron and then hit up the market when it was in full swing. My favorite booth was the doughnut booth, these guys had mad skills, and who doesn't love a good doughnut?? They were flipping them and flinging them through the air with tongs and catching them in bags. All while rockin' their punk garb, just imagine "hard core doughnut punks" I think you'll get the picture. : ) Had lunch at a cheese making store, then hiked on for more shopping. Ended the day with happy hour cocktails and chips and salsa. Perfection.

Seattle Day Five
Day five, more shopping! Had lots of fun little stores to check out, lots more fun finds and such. Stopped and bought the most amazing cupcakes ever!!! Trophy Cupcakes and Party, they were SO good I bought more to bring home on the plane ride home. Which was a royal pain, but SO worth it. We went to Gas Works park on Lake Union and watched the "Ducks" and seaplanes land, met up with Randy for, you guessed it, happy hour!! Had the yummiest hummus ever, then headed back to the apartment to relax for a bit. After some rest we went to the beach and watched the sun set, and my time in Seattle was over. : (
The next morning we were up and on the road to the airport by 4:30am, and I was on my way home. Except I got bumped, scored a free ticket and still got home, just 20 minutes later than was originally expected! Not bad. It was an amazing trip and I can't wait to go back with Rex and spend more time exploring the coast and the mountains...hopefully next summer. : ) We'll have to wait and see....
